outer selphia
Intro, talk about immediate area, mention Sechs border mention that more stuff will be added when the areas are unlocked for use
Obsidian mansion
A haunted mansion that stands across the western gorge from Selphia. Spirit monsters sometimes float over to Dragon Lake from the mansion. A bridge used to connect the town and building to each other, but it has been destroyed for over two decades.
selphia plains
The breezy plains that lay outside Selphia. It is always Spring in this area, full of bright eyed woolies and some not so bright orcs! The area has gradually become more dangerous, and citizens are discouraged from entering even these safe lands at night.
Selphia Plains is the nearest and safest area to set up a wild farmland. Well, "safest" - you'll still be dealing with orc raids, hungry woolies, and other fun things to come steal your harvests!

very brief touch since not unlocked for exploration. Mention blocked off by something big that needs town effort to clear

the town of Selphia
Laying in the far west inland of Norad, the town of Selphia has seen better days. While there has not been a recent major disaster or invasion force like in the Sharance or Tampoli regions, the town has been on a slow recline for many years.
the divine dragon
The Selphia region is overseen by the Divine Dragon of Wind, Ventuswill. Unlike the other three Divine Dragons, Ventuswill lives in the middle of the town of Selphia, regularly taking audience with those that live there.
The fact that the Selphia's Divine Dragon is awake, friendly towards humanoids, and actually sees people (with an appointment of course) makes her one of the 'tourist attractions' of Selphia.
Ventuswill is commonly the main judge in competitions, and personally blesses couples who marry in the town. There's always time in the goddesses schedule for weddings and children, making her the Divine Dragon that most people refer to when talking to outsiders about them.
food Due to how far from the capital Selphia is, and the high amount of monster gates, raising farm animals for meat is not done. Red meat has to be purchased and flown over from other areas, an expensive thing for a steak!
The abundance of fish and fishing spots - even with the threat of monsters - means that fish is the main meat you will find on the menu in Selphia.
Selphia used to have a steady supply of seasonal fruits and vegetables due to having farms in the monoseasonal areas of outer Selphia, but have been over run and destroyed by monsters several decades ago.
the castle
Taking center stage in Selphia, the large castle can be seen in the skyline from any spot in town. It actually stands where the first shrine to Ventuswill, and one of her earliest nesting spots orignally was!
The castle is split into three main parts: the servant quarters and garrison on the western side, the community and prince(ss) wing on the east, and the center taken by Ventuswill.
The main castle thread can be found HERE
dragon lake
A large lake that sits in the western part of Selphia. The lake is mostly safe from monsters appearing, and is used for both fishing and for swimming! Sometimes fishers will end up finding a rare Legendary Scale.
Due to being close to the gorge that separates Selphia from the Obsidian Mansion, the lake does see some spirit monsters at night. The diligent watch of the town guard and Ventuswill herself stops this from being a regular problem however.
You can find the Dragon Lake board HERE

the capital
The main capital of Norad is where the royal family lives, specifically the King. The capital is the largest city in Norad, boasting the largest amount of mercantilism, military prowess, education, and population. This place has everything but few from rural areas ever visit here.
Thanks to the Sechs Empire's invasion, it can be difficult to get into the Capital. Especially if you're a 'common person'. Royalty doesn't go out and those who are out aren't able to get back in easily. The place is abuzz with the war effort while still trying to maintain areas that haven't been hit yet.
kardia region
The town of Kardia resides on the Silk Road. Its a busy place where information flows freely. Unlike the other places where the Native Dragons watch over the towns, Kardia is where the Native Fire Dragon Fiersome is sealed.
Being in a place where information flowed like water, Kardia was actually preparing itself for the invasion. Like everywhere else, the runes began to disappear at an alarming rate which did not bode well for the crops, residents, or even the monsters within the area. Just like news had told, the Sechs army was soon upon them but unlike many other unfortunate towns; Kardia was able to become a fortress against the attack. Using the Silk Road as a military supply route, they were able to keep the army from encroaching further in.
Now it is the most active military outpost. Danger of Fiersome's seal weakening has been noted to show but news other than that has been limited. Due to the danger and constant battling, Kardia has nearly lost all contact from the rest of the capitals minus Norad's main capital.
trampoli region
Trampoli is a very small place, one that could barely even be called a village. It is known for the mystical whale that floats in the sky. Terrable, the Native Dragon of Earth also known as the 'Reviver' watches over this place. Its a place filled with an abundance of runes.
In the beginning Trampoli was a quiet and peaceful place that was booming with business. There were a few earthquakes here and there but nothing the residents worried over. Not until they had earthquakes strong enough to tumble buildings. It took on major earthquake for the entire village to experience despair. In one moment, the runes thinned drastically; the next? The whale in the sky plummeted to the ground. Panic ensued.
Not even a few days after that, before a proper investigation could be sent - the Sechs Empire attacked. Their invasion came as swiftly as the disaster. If it weren't for the fact that the residents were already wary, there may not have been survivors.
sharance region
Sharance is a mountain city watched over by the Native Dragon of Water, Aquaticus. The village itself is located at the base of giant magical tree known as the 'Sharance Tree'. Once upon a time it was a thriving capital known for its abundance of flowers and serene setting. It would have been a great place for a vacation if disaster hadn't struck.
The first signs of disaster came when the Native Dragon, Aquaticus; suddenly went missing. His disappearance caused a disruption within the runes which caused the Sharance Tree to fall ill, leaving it a barren skeleton of its former glory. Slowly the land itself began to lose its shine and the villages' tensions with its monster camp neighbor began to rise drastically. In an effort to try and figure out what was wrong, the village sent for help from the elves since they had planted the Sharance Tree. Shortly after they arrived, Aquaticus reappeared.
The Native Dragon ran on a rampage, causing disaster after disaster until many of the residents had to flee. The last few who remained stayed long enough to witness the invasion of the Sechs Empire. Those who survived long enough to make it to the next town spread word of the invasion and the rune drought.

The large, aggressive neighbour of Norad. Little is known about the Sechs, besides 'avoid', and 'do not fight'.
Reset does not accept Sechs characters at this point in time. Even this small amount of information is not very well known among the outsiders.
populance
Sechs citizens are full humans only - no half-monsters, or earthmates are granted citizenship. Some Eastern migrants have settled and become part of the empire, though they have had to cease the majority of their original culture and customs that were not deemed practical or useful.
Since Emperor Ethelbert rose to power, the native dwarf population has been killed, or fled to other countries. There are still families within Norad and other countries that original came from the Sechs land.
known army
The Sechs army is known to be more technologically advance then anything Norad can produce. Their ability to create and pilot machinery could almost be admirable, if it wasn't for the fact the only purpose of the machines is to kill.
Some invasion forces have had feral half-monsters as part of the front line, an unnerving opponent to have appear. They have also had species of monsters that have only been seen in Sechs lands.
magic
The use and study of magic within Sechs border is forbidden, punishable by death. Children born an earthmate are taken from the family.

An island nation off the, well, east of the continent. The East is in fact only one island of many countries that would fall under 'the East'.
Most of this information would be uncommon among the people of Norad. Eastern culture is seen as 'other', or novel to use as a theme or decorations for the higher class.
arrival
The first Eastern explorers actually landed in the Republic of Eucraft, to the north of Norad. It was merchants traveling along the Silk Road that runs through Eucraft, the Kingdom of Roland, and the Kingdom of Norad that they first arrived within Norads borders.
The new country to trade with was welcomed with open arms once the langauge barrier was worked out.
Though the first Norad born Eastern generation is reaching adulthood, their culture is still seen as a novelty. As long as someone from the East speaks Common, they are treated the same as any other human.
language There are two main differences between Common East and Common Norad. The first is the gender neutral nature of the language,
customs touch on bath house, any festivals bought over

This thread covers some background information and other things about dwarves.
Most of this is fairly common knowledge. Dwarves are common throughout Norad, and don't hide a lot culture wise.
time Time and deadlines are confusing when it comes to dealing with dwarves. They prescribed to the idea of never being tardy and being efficient with ones time, but in the same breath will say they'll get the job done when it's done good and proper! They need a clear and firm outline on what they are doing or making so that they do not get wrapped up in inspiration or a creative madness.
The trick to dealing with a dwarf wrapped up in creating something is to consistently talk to them. Dragging them out of the forge to eat regular meals is the go to method of dragging them back to the land of the living. Staring them down when they glare at you and threaten you with a hammer is the other.
half-monsters In the uncommon occurrence of a half-monster, the child is still treated and raised as a normal dwarf. Their usual underground dwellings can be tough on certain monster types, with the half-monster child being sent to a home closer to, or on the surface.
Most above ground dwarven settlements - not just merchant outposts - started because of wanting to give a half-monster child the best possible place to live. Though many dwarves will never truly understand preferring to live above ground instead of in the familiar caverns and tunnels, they support those who do.
earthmates Rarely are earthmates dwarves, though it is not unheard of. Either from the direct blessing of a Divine Dragon, or the union between dwarf and human (no one admits an elven ancestor), earthmates are not treated too differently from any other normal person.
Along with half-monsters, earthmates are the type of dwarf who will almost always live above ground more than under. They tend to be the first to link together a dwarf settlement with a human one.
appearance
When many think of dwarves, they see a stout, bearded man covered in dirt and maybe swinging a hammer. This stereotype has some grounds (those who can grow one do enjoy having a beard, it helps with protecting their face from stray explosions and other fire accidents), but will get you a friendly guffaw and a (mostly friendly) slap on the back if you say so to their face.
Clothes are always function over form. It is through hair and other jewellery that they personalise and decorate. IT is also the best place to advertise ones wares and craftmanship, or show off someone's work that you are fond of! The riskiest thing to do is compliment something a dwarf is wearing - you'll be sitting through a long chat about how the item was made, why they made it, and a sales pitch on crafting one for you for a reasonable price that can't be beaten!
views on other races
Dwarves on the whole hold an amiable view on the other races. They are quick to pick up on trends and movements within other cultures, adapting and applying them to their own lives. The end result is a faceted jewel that has many faces, but is very much its own.
Merfolk are both the best and the worst people to interact with a dwarf. The flattery and want for dwarven jewels, metalwork, and accessories to decorate themselves with can easily shift from making a dwarf feel pride in their work, to disgust at the selfish greed of the fish.
Elves seem to be the impossible type for a dwarf to get along with. The slow, stiff, and tall people seem to exist just to rub dwarves the wrong way, from the slow changes, to the way they handle their half-monsters.
If they see an elf that they have to interact with, expect a long suffering sigh and muttering about pompous pointy ear jerks.
